Tomato

Tomatoes come in all shapes, sizes & colors depending on the varieties you pick. From sauce making Roma to snackable Cherries, they all have their unique qualities. Florida's best growing seasons for tomatoes is from Late Sept-Late May.

Eggplant

A close relative of the tomato this vegetable is slightly bitter tasting. Great for cooking and eating.

Squash

A vegetable plant with many, many varieties that are distinct and used in their own ways. From Acorn squash that is baked and filled with butter to Spaghetti sqaush that is peeled to resemble a pasta.

Peppers

Peppers are the spice of many different dishes around the world. Each variety has its own flavoring and level of hotness. Fron brightly colored, sweet bell peppers to small red, fiery habaneros, and every size and level in between. This vegetable is a must have in any garden.

From green beans to lima beans, this vegetable is the 'meat' of many dishes and soups.

Brussel Sprouts

This unique vegetable is actually picked as a sprout on the side of large stems that protrude from the plant. Harvesting is a long season and can last from June-January Depending on when you plant yours.

Lettuce

Each variety of lettuce offers different tastes and textures for any situation. Large heads of 'Iceberg' Lettuce are great for salads and sandwiches. Or small 'fields' of 'Loosleaf' can be cut down again and again like grass to keep producing many small lettuce leaves for salads. Always harves any lettuce before it flowers. This is sometimes called 'Bolting' and the leaves will turn bitter as the nutrients goes to the flowers.
