Allamanda 'Cherries Jubilee'
Fast growing vining shrub that can reach 3-6 ft. in height. Branches are long stems that can be pruned regularly to form a shrub or trellised to make a small vine. Produces a Striking Cherry/Lavander bloom, that can be as big as your hand, almost year-round. FULL SUN FOR BEST RESULTS.
Slow growing evergreen shrub that only gets 3 ft. in height. Small glossy green leaves form a nice tight shrub that creates a mounding shape. Produces yellow trumpet shaped flowers in the warmer months of the year. Protect from the cold.
Alocasia gageana
Fast growing evergreen tropical that can reach 3-4 ft. in height. Large tropical lush green leaves that are heart shaped grow in clumps on long stems. Non descript flowers appear periodically but they don't really add much to the appearance of the plant. Great for ponds and boggy areas. Tolerates full sun to part shade. Indoor use in bright light and moist soil.
Calodora - "Persian Palm" Can Grow To 6'-7' with large 42" leaves. Give good drainage for best growth. Doesn't grow as fast in the shade.
Banana - Musa sp.
A large tropical tree that is mainly grown for its fruit. Many grow at varying speeds and have large green leaves. Some can also be used indoors in bright light.
Chinese Yellow - A non-fruiting banana that gets 4-6' in heigth. Semi-Deciduous in colder areas. In some cases it even dies back to the ground to regrow in the spring. A very large spike of yellow flowers blossoms in the late fall & in warmer areas can last UP TO 6 MONTHS! VERY SHOWY.
Bamboo
There are hundreds of species and varieties of bamboo. While some are running varieties and some are clumping we only carry non-invasive clumping types. As members of the grass family most bamboo loves well drained but consistantly moist areas and any high nitrogen fertilizer it can get.
'Multiplex' - Bambusa multiplex is a clumping variety that gets 20-25 ft. tall in heigth with 1.5" stalks. Great for hedging and blocking of large areas. Nice solid green color of the leaves and stalks.
'Alphonse Karr' - Bambusa multiplex 'Alphonse Karr' Is Very similar to the genereic multiplex above except that its stalks are a yellow color with a green strip down the sides. Very Showy.
'Golden Goddess' - Bambusa multiplex 'Golden Goddess' is a shorter variety of the multiplex species. Only reaching heights of 10'-15' with small 1/2" shoots. Great for Low Screens.
'Arrow' - Pseudosasa japonica is a great screening bamboo. Getting to the heigth of 18' with very 'arrow' straight shoots. It fills in thick to create a great hedge. Though this is a running bamboo it is fairly controllable because of the small 3/4" shoots that are easily removed.
Beautyberry - Callicarpa americana
Decidious shrub the can reach up to 5-6' in height in a loose open form. Blooms in the spring to produce purple/violet clusters of berries in the fall. Likes partial shade, very drought tolerant, well drained soil. Great plant for low maintenance natural gardens. Salt and drought tolerant. Attractive purple fruits attract many birds.

Large up-right clump grower with lushy, large, dark green, banana like leaves. White flower stalks that also resemble a bird's head. Can reach up to 12-14' ft in height. Salt tolerant Can be used indoors in Bright Light.
Boxwood Japanese - Buxus

Slow growing evergreen shrub to 3’ tall. Has small bright green leaves. Great for formal hedges and borders. Likes to be trimmed and shaped. Very cold tolerant. Med Drought. Low Salt Tolerance.
Bolivian Sunset - Gloxinia sylvatica
A semi-fast growing small shrub that blooms frequently with orange flowers. Best in well drained soil with regular waterand partial shade. Can also die back in the winter if temperatures reach freezing but will regrow in the spring.
Bottlebrush Bush - Callistemon rigidus
A fast growing hedging plant or small tree. This plant loves well drained soil and can tolerate drought once established. Easy to care for and frequent blooms that resemble large red pipe cleaners. Grows better and stays fuller in full sun.
Bougainvillea Bush - Bougainvillea spp.
A fast growing shrub that will get viney and out of hand if not trimmed to keep shaped. Plant in well drained soil and keep on the dry side once established. Salt tolerant and drought tolerant make this a good plant for xeriscaping.
