Pineapple - Ananas comosus

Slow growing bromeliad that gets 3-4 ft. in height. The leaves are long and thin with sharp edges. The flowers are not spectacular but it produces wonderful Pineapples that are just like what you buy in the store. Tolerant of dry soild but NOT Cold. If stressed fruit production will be produced. Takes 2-3 years and sometimes longer for a mature fruit to develope.
