Ilex East Palatka - Ilex x attenuata

Fast growing tree that can reach over 20 ft. in height. The leaves are a nice green color with a spiny tip on the end. The flowers are non-descript but the red berries that follow in the fall are quite showy and a favorite of birds. Drought Tolerant. EASY Care.

Ilex 'Nellie Stevens' - Ilex x. 'Nellie R. Stevens'

Moderate growing tree that can reach 20 ft. in height. Has similar leaves to the East Palatka Holly above but these are a DEEP DARK green and it keeps a Christmas tree like shape. Still produces non-descript flowers that are followed by dark red berries in the fall through winter months. Drought Tolerant. EASY Care.

Ilex 'Weeping Yaupon' - Ilex vomitoria 'Yaupon'

A VERY uniquely shaped Florida native tree that gets 10-15' tall & wide. The leaves are small & the branches are long & spindly. They grow in an outward & downward pattern while the main trunk gets taller. Truly a Dr.Seuss looking specimen tree thats great for tough spots in the yard & Oriental style gardens. Red berries in the winter follow small off-white blossoms. Cold hardy to 25 degrees.

Jasmine Crape - Tabernaemontana divaricata

Fast grwoing tropical tree that grows to 6-8 ft. in height. Has very large, glossy green leaves. Produces large creamy white flowers that resemble a Gardenia. Sometimes called the "Poor Man's Gardenia." Blooms occur throughout the whole year. Can be grown in the shade and it still produces flowers. Keep on the moist side but provide good drainage.

Fast growing tree that can reach 6-8 ft+ in height. Small glossy green leaves that grow in abundance and can be trimmed to shape the plant. Produces large clusters of small FRAGRANT white flowers that smell just like Orange Blossoms. Blooms throughout the year in great frequency. Very Popular.

Jathropa - Jathropa integerrima

Fast growing tree that gets 6-8 ft.+ in height. Large tropical "three-toed" leaves that turn a Dark Green as they mature. Blooms almost all the time with clusters of small red flowers on a long stem. Moderate Slat tolerance and Very High Drought Tolerance. EASY Care. Blooms and grows in Sun or Shade.



Ligustrum Green - Ligustrum japonica 'Texanum'

Fast growing multi-trunked tree that can get up to 10-15 ft.+ in height. Glossy green leaves taht form a very full canopy that provides heavy shade. Produces creamy white flower clusters in the spring that have a slight fragrance. Moderate Salt Tolerance and Very Drought Tolerant once established.

The exact same habits as the Green Ligustrum above except that the new groth is golden yellow in color and deepens to a dark green as they mature.

A large evergreen tree that can get 40' tall & 30' wide. Grows very fast & thick, so it is planted as a boundary between properties in its native areas. Blooms large spikes of pink/magenta flowers throughout the summer months. Considered to be sacred to many African tribes. GREAT SHADE TREE. Cold hardy to 25 degrees.

Oak 'Live' - Quercus virginiana

A Florida native tree that gets over 50' Tall & wide. Very slow growing, they are evergreen & provide really nice shade once they are mature. A real standard in the Florida landscape since most neighborhoods & associations require at least two in new homes. Very easy to grow & cold hardy to 10 degrees. Do not plant near driveways, sidewalks or foundations as the roots will tear these to pieces over time.

Olive - European - Olea europaea

A Mediterranean native that can get 40' tall & 20-30' wide. It has a unique shape & creates good evergreen shade. There is not enough frost in Central to South Florida to stimulate good flowering so they do not produce fruit down here. A great tree for almost any spot they can tolerate frost, drought, high heat, & wind.

Parkinsonia aculeata - Jerusalem Thorn

A skinny deciduous tree that grows to 20' tall & 15' wide with lots of charactor. Blooms in the late spring to midsummer with long spikes of yellow flowers. The trunks & branches have bullhorn shaped spikes along the nodes. VERY drought tolerant. Cold hardy to 20 degrees.

Pimento dioica - Allspice Tree

An evergreen tree that can reach 30-40' tall & wide. Small white flowers appear in the spring followed by small black & green berries. Both the flowers & the berries have a sweet/spicy fragrance. The leaves are extremely fragrant when crushed or bruised. Once established the trees are cold hardy to 25 degrees.



Podocarpus Japanese Yew - Podocarpus macrophyllus

Moderate growing tree that gets up to 20 ft.+ in height. Long, thin green leaves that form a wild bushy canopy. Can be shaped into topiary form also. Produces conifer-like flowers that mostly are non-apparent. Moderately Salt and Drought Tolerant.

A large deciduous tree that can reach over 40' tall & wide. Large white/pink flowers appear on the tree in the early spring before the tree refoliates. Flowers resemble an old-fashioned shaving brush shape. Developes a large uniquely shaped bulbous trunk when mature. Established trees are cold hardy to 25 degrees.

Fast growing tree that is best kept at 6-8 ft. in height. Reddish leaves that form a very bushy canopy with lots of rose thorns. Flowers Constantly throughout the year with red or pink roses. Trim only to shape. Pest and Disease resistant. Does not need to be srayed for black-spot. ONE OF THE EASIEST ROSES TO GROW. Non-Grafted root stock.

Royal Poinciana - Delonix regia

A fast growing deciduous tree that gets 40-50' tall & 30-40' wide. The leavs are small which gives this tree a light airy look while still providing a surprising amount of shade. The flowers appear in the early spring on long stems & are an orange/red color. Easy to spot one of these once they start blooming around Bradenton. Will tolerate light freezes once they are established & mature but will incur serious harm if frozen when small.



Schefflera Large Leaf (Umbrella Tree) - Schefflera actinophylla

Indoors - Large houseplant that needs to be trimmed to keep it under control. Keep soil slightly moist and put in a bright location.

Outdoors - Fast growing tree that can reach up to 40 ft. in height. Large shiny tropical leaves that have 5 "fingers" that branch out from a center stem. Mature trees produce Large, Showy red spikes of flowers in the summer. Protect from frost.

Sesbania punicea - Rattlebox Tree

A small deciduous tree that gets 12' tall & 8' wide. Reddish orange flowers appear all summer long in clusters. The seed pods that follow rattle when they are mature & dried. Good in wet areas of the landscape. Cold hardy to 15 degrees, but will die back & regrow in colder areas.

A VERY fast growing deciduous tree that gets over 40' tall & wide. The leaves are very large & green & provide a great deal of heavy shade in the hot months. A great tree for a yard looking to block out the sun. They can withstand some of the harshest conditions around, including high winds. Easy to grow.
